What we do @ Westin Hotel, KL

In conjunction with MIGF 2007, I took the chance to learn Italian cuisine @ Westin Hotel, KL. Before I show you what I learnt, let me introduce to you our group to you... the "prettiest chefs" in town!! From left, Croel (sorry I don't know how to spell it), Liew Hong, Shirley, Serene, and myself, Candy.

Obviously, the centre guy who is in the chef uniform is our "si-fu". He is the Executive Sous Chef of Westin Hotel, KL. He is also one of the celebrity chef. His name is... Rajesh Kanna Rg, you may call him rajjjjj... He specialise in Italian cuisine, and judge for Taylor's college hopsitality program too (if I'm not wrong ya!). He was with PREGO, S'pore and being transferred to KL to take care the entire Westin F&B as the title suggested.

We paid RM168 net for the lesson, and I tell you what, it is really worth it, and you really cant find it elsewhere, why? We not only learn 3 courses of Italian, we also serve with lunch, half of it is our "work", and the other half of course, the chef prepared for us.

Alrigth, here you go Dish 1 : Osso Bucco Saffron Rissotto

I actually don't really take lamb elsewhere apart from my own restaurant!! :) Somehow, this really make me wanna to try more and moreee... anyone interested in the recipe? Please feel free to contact me, I am selling @ RMxxxx!!! hahhaaa... just kidding! Thus, this is my recommendation to all of you to really try this out @ PREGO, Westin.

Second dish : Snapper LivorneseThis is something simple, the most important, the fish must be really fresh. Yet it is simple, but there is lot of trick in dealing with it too! I am a fish lover, and this is definitely one of my flavourate. I finished the whole plate!!!

3rd dish : Gnocchi alla Romana Look at it, simple right? And you know what, I really dare not try this in the very first place, cause I don't take cheese and milk, yet, these 2 are the main ingredients of this dish!! GOD!! How am I gonna to eat it!! Somehow, after you bake it, and add in the sauce, eemmm.. yummy!

That is it, the 3 dishes that we learnt, and somehow, we managed to GRADUATE!!! Congratulations to everyone!

End.

the hardwork behind our graduation....
last but not least, you guy MUST TRY the TIRAMISU.... it is really really really good... bravo!!!
